MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME
“Make Yourself At Home”
movie installation was shown as a part of the map guided “Walkie Talkie” exhibition on 20th of June 2022.
At first glance it may seem that this exhibition theme is a good-natured story aboutmliving in a train, but
this situation is not made up and is not so far from the truth. On February 24, 2022, Russian troops crossed
the border of Ukraine, thereby starting a full-scale war, that has been going on now for more than a year now.
These events have left and continue to leave a considerable mark on me through the deprivation of what is
most dear to me - my home.
My main goal is
to spread the knowledge about inhuman behavior, to remind about the the act of aggression
taking place in my country. By making the movie about how it is to live in the train, without
having a place to return to, I am explaining my harsh feelings while never loosing hope.
I don't want to be silent about it, I just want to be able to go back home.

In addition to
“MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME” project, I decided
to make a series of “CULTURE DIVIDED” zines.
These zines represent the split in a national identity, which was caused by
the linguicide of Ukrainian language in times of repetitive russian invasions.
The main idea
was to sarcastically picture the exhisting of
displacing language, while providing the actual historical facts.
All the pictures were made in the SBB train, while travelling via trains for Ukrainians was free all over Switzerland.
